Question by lightupthesky25: Would a shift solenoid leak cause transmission to slip?
I have a 2006 Kia Spectra. For the past few months, every once in a while when shifting from R to D, the car would jerk before finally shifting to D. After jerking and putting it into D, the RPMs ran higher than usual (at 65, usually mine runs about 2000-2500 RPM and it would run 4000 after jerking). This was an intermittent problem.
This past week, the car did not do it while shifting from R to D, it did it while I was driving (once on the highway, and then later on a main road going about 30-40 mph). After the second time it did it while driving, the Check Engine light came on.
Brought the car to the dealership today and they said my shift solenoid is bad. It’s covered under warranty so I’m not concerned about it. The question I have is that a few days ago, I was in the garage and bent down to pick something up off the floor and noticed a small puddle under the car. It hadn’t been raining or anything (so it couldn’t have been water dragged in from the road) and it looked dark so I was worried that it might be oil. I grabbed a paper towel and wiped some of it up. It was clear and did not have any kind of odor to it.
Could this leak have had anything to do with the solenoid going bad?

I am not sure what color the trans. fluid is on Kias but i highly doubt the leak (if it was a leak) had anything to do with the solenoid. You should check the trans. fluid level though to be sure it is correct because low fluid level can cause other problems in the transmission. Solenoids are little electric actuators inside the transmission. They don’t leak. They go bad and don’t move the valve or whatever they operate which makes the trans. not work right. They usually don’t cost that much and are not that hard to replace.

Question by : I need advice on how to decorate my living room all those with taste please help!?
First off my living room is a malted blue it’s a nice color but I feel like my living room feels cramped and dark. I want to let it have a light sunny welcoming look. I can’t afford new furniture so I have to work with what I already have which is new furniture anyway. And I also am unable to rearrange the furniture due to the small area. Now my couch said the color was champaign but it leans more toward a light shimmery brown I don’t have any accent pillows. I have two matching floor lamps. A glass coffee table. And my furniture such as Entertainment Center and bookshelf are in classic espresso. I have an old silver box for a T.V. but a mount directly above it for a flat screen which we covered with my old mirror with white birds on it. And I don’t have any decorations. And on top of all that there is a cat tree sitting in my living room. This is a key layout. All my furniture is on a wall.

the best way to lighten up yout living room is to use light colored, i would say white curtians as they will go really good with the blue color, you can get pillows to match the blue and white theme, it will look good and i think the rest of your furniture will look good with the existing things,
i think the arrangment of your living room would look good if you just have the colored mixed with the white curtains and try to get some white flowers and other decoration stuff

Question by Maggie D: Can I Evict My Tenant Because of this?
I have a couple of tenants renting out a townhouse I used to live in. They are nice, and they have paid rent on time every month. I never get noise complaints, etc. BUT, I have had to tell them to be sure to keep up with the weeds, and over the summer had to ask them to be sure there was a pathway in the garage, as it was covered with unpacked boxes. Last month, I had to enter the house, with notice, to look at a leaky window. The house was filthy. I just had to go to the basement, and there were clothes everywhere, half empty soda cans, a couple plates with stale food. I let it go, assuming it was just a bad month. Wrong. I had to go in again last week to look at the washer, and the basement was still the same. Went to the kitchen, and there were dirty dishes in the sink, crumbs all over the kitchen and living room floors. Papers everywhere. A pot on the stove with curdled mac and cheese. As I was leaving I spoke to me neighbour; she said while the tenants are nice, and quiet, over the summer, they rarely mowed their lawn. They left a baby pool outside the back gate to the house, full of dirty old water, until she asked them to empty it. They would have cookouts and leave the trash on the deck for days at a time.
Can I evict over this? Or can I even simply ask them to clean the house? And if I opt for the ladder, can I do random checks of the premises with notice?
The lease is a legal lease. I am worried about an infestation which is why it concerns me. The food left on plates in various rooms, left on the stove. I looked for evidence of roaches and droppings from rodents, but luckily didn’t see any.

Eviction lawsw vary by state but the controlling document is the lease. You DO have a signed LEGAL LEASE right? Then what are the lease terms? You can not evict for thier living standard and while dirty dishs MAY be a big problem for you, the person having to live in that squaller is the tenant and if they chose to live like that then there is realy nothing you can complain about. You CAN demand that the place be clean AFTER they leave but how they live is up to them.
