Heavy Duty Garage Floor Covering
Over the years I’ve gotten hundreds of comments and e-mails from homeowners who would really love to have the neat
and clean appearance of a finished garage floor, but were frustrated by either their lack of time to complete the job, or were perhaps intimidated by the prospect of beginning what might turn into a complicated project.
One potential option for a garage floor covering would be a heavy-duty roll out rubber garage flooring system. This durable and easy to install garage floor covering is generally made from polyvinyl, and installs without any adhesives or glues required. These durable mats are generally offered in a variety of patterns, and would make a good choice for not only garage floors, but also often are seen used in gymnasiums, warehouses and commercial locations.
Be sure to choose a brand that is made of 100% polyvinyl, as opposed to a product that only has it on the top layer
of the mat. Many companies produce floor coverings that only use the high grade material on the top 10% to 20% of
their mats and layer the rest with lower quality materials that just do not offer you the the same durability and
protection throughout the entire product.
By spending a little bit extra on the higher grade flooring, you’ll avoid have the mats breakdown prematurely,
which may require you to replace either portions of the floor, or the entire garage floor sooner than you had
expected.
